    <description> These brownies are out of this world. 
    Recipe was found in "Kathleen's Bake Shop Cookbook". 
    Do not overbake, or they will be a completely different 
    brownie. They should be a little damp when you remove 
    them from the oven because they will continue to bake 
    in their own heat. 
    </description>
   <ingredients>
	<item>1/4 cup all purpose flour</item>
	<item>1/4 teaspoon baking soda</item>
	<item>1/4 teaspoon salt</item>
	<item>2 cups semisweet chocolate chips</item>
	<item>1 teaspoon vanilla extract</item>
	<item>1/3 cup butter</item>
	<item>2/3 cup granulated sugar</item>
	<item>2 Tablespoons water</item>
	<item>2 eggs</item>
	<item>1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)</item>
   </ingredients> 
  <directions>
   <step>
   Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Grease a 9-inch square pan.
   </step>
   <step>
   In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, and salt.
   </step>
   <step>
   In a large bowl, combine chocolate chips and vanilla.
   </step>
   <step>
   In a saucepan, combine butter, sugar, and water. 
   Bring this mixture just to a boil. Pour hot mixture 
   over chips and stir. Add eggs one at a time, mixing 
   well after each addition. Stir in the flour mixture. 
   Fold in nuts if desired. Pour into prepared pan. 
   Spread evenly.

   Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until slightly firm to touch. 
   When cool, cut into squares.
